How does Diffvideo work?
Diffvideo connects to your GitHub repositories through a GitHub App. When activity matches your rules (for example merges to main, releases, or pushes you configure), Diffvideo reads repository context and produces a professional, branded video. The process is automatic: you push code, and a video appears in your dashboard.
What do I need to get started?
You need a GitHub account with at least one repository. Sign up for Diffvideo, install the GitHub App on your organization or personal account, select which repositories to connect, and you're ready to go. The first video can be generated within minutes of setup.
Is there a free tier?
There is no unlimited free tier. Every new organization gets 2 min of generated video on signup at 720p (no card). Starter is $5/month per organization when billed annually (5 included minutes per month, 720p, one repo), or $5.75/month when billed monthly. Team is $24/month annually (25 included minutes, 1080p while your Team subscription is active, unlimited repos), or $27.60/month monthly. Overage is billed per minute beyond your included pool.
What does the Team plan include?
Team is $24 per organization per month when billed annually (25 included minutes each billing month), unlimited repositories, 1080p rendering while your subscription is active, and the full rules engine. Month-to-month is $27.60/month. Overage beyond the included pool is metered per minute.
What video formats and resolutions are supported?
Videos are rendered in MP4 format using the H.264 codec, which is universally compatible with all browsers, social media platforms, and video players. Output is 720p for signup credit, Starter, and any time you are not on an active Team subscription; 1080p when subscribed to Team; up to 4K on Enterprise (contract).
How long does rendering take?
Most videos are rendered within 2-5 minutes depending on length, complexity, and resolution. Enterprise customers get priority rendering for faster turnaround. Preparing the draft is quick; rendering is the time-consuming step.
